I almost grounded my weatherman for his unnecessary drama about the mounds of snow that was apparently coming earlier today, but IT'S HERE NOW! Just kidding, weatherman. One time I lied to my Dad and got grounded for 30 days. It was rough, but I never did it again. I also wanted to ground the frantic people in Walmart yesterday. Based on their heaping carts and ski goggles, you'd a thought the blizzard of '78 was coming, the way they were acting. Take it down a notch!
I hope your holiday season was lovely. I hope you spent time with meaningful people and ate delicious food. I hope you put the hustle and bustle aside and made time to ponder the reason for this joyous season. I hope you feel renewed and ready for 2014. Our holiday season was busy, but time well spent with loved ones and one another. I love getting and sending mail (real mail!), and we ended our 2013 by sending out the following Christmas card...
We have some great friends here, and Emily, of Emily Stark Photography, dove head-first into one of her passions.. photography. She snapped some photos for us for our Christmas card and we were thrilled. I love the outdoor natural feel of her photography. You need her in your life. Don't you love this one? Shear joy!
She's delightful. She understands good composition, is wildly creative, and so easy to work with - you'll love her. More than anything, she demands excellence out of herself - a woman after my own heart! Check out her page here and a few of her favorites below.

Emily and her husband have a little tot and one on the way, arriving very soon! Needless to say, she's a busy gal. She'll be taking a small hiatus from shooting, but will likely be back to scheduling when the greens of spring are fresh and in bloom. Drop her a message and inquire about scheduling a shoot here. Cheers to following passions!
