The Pop-Up Shop at the Minster Oktoberfest was a huge success! After some chilly rain and wild winds, the weather finally cleared and the masses of people came for the annual three day event in Midwest Ohio. If you haven't been, you should make a point of checking it out.
From a quantity standpoint, it's tough to estimate how many of each item to create and order, but by Sunday afternoon we were sold out of mugs, tea towels, buttons and greeting cards. As a newbie at this whole entrepreneur gig, I walked away wildly encouraged. My heart was full, but my physical state was exhausted. Pop-ups are no joke.. it means creating a 'store' with nothing but a tent over your head.
It was great to be there to showcase The Olivine's product and style, but similar to the Farmers Market, it was beneficial to connect with people. Without having a physical storefront, I was there to let them know I exist, and what The Olivine does. Numerous new projects resulted from the weekend, and it feels good. A weekend highlight was running into four current CCAD students. Talking to them (and of course brainstorming on a new idea) made me so proud of my alma mater. Orders are still rolling in, as folks are prepping for gifting during holiday season. This is a bit of a photo-heavy post, but if you missed the festival, I wanted you to see too.
