Remember Miss Argo? I do miss that fancy lady. Her hospitable southern ways were infectious and her food and drink delectable. One fine porch-sitting drink we shared was a pitcher of White Summer Sangria. It's very easy, and I typically chop and toss in whatever fruit I have around the house + a few mint leaves. I hope you find it to be a "divine and wonderfully lethal combination, if there ever were such a thang," just like she did. Print, share and enjoy, friends!
The farmers market this weekend was one of our best weekends yet. You'll notice we've moved from the the cute umbrella to the blue pop-up tent (function over form, says Danny), however, the weather couldn't have been better, and the goods keep going like wild. Special thanks to my sweet Mutti and dear friend Elisa for standing guard with me.
Two weekends ago, two students came by and picked up some aprons for their foreign exchange culinary trip. They were heading to Italy and Turkey and wanted to leave the Troy aprons behind with their host family. My heart wanted to burst and I felt the need to do a Roberta-worthy cartwheel all at the same time. Cheers to many more successful weeks and meaningful connections like that! Those moments keep me doing this.
This coming weekend at the market is Shop With the Chef. The head Chef from a local restaurant called Mojo's will be purchasing one item from each market stand and will create a meal. I think we need to get Chef in an apron by The Olivine, don't you? I'll see you there!
